Luovi Attorneys Ltd (‘Luovi’) processes personal data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679).

Purposes and legal basis for processing and scope of personal data

Luovi may collect and process personal data with respect to:

• clients and other parties involved in client assignments (including their respective representatives and beneficial owners) for the purposes of complying with applicable laws and regulations, such as know-your-customer duties, and performing its contractual obligations in relation to client assignments;

• employees for the purposes of complying with applicable laws and regulations and performing its contractual obligations in relation to any employment;

• job applicants for the purposes of recruitment, subject to the applicant’s consent;

• suppliers (including their respective representatives and beneficial owners) for the purposes of complying with applicable laws and regulations and performing its contractual obligations in relation to such supplier; and

• visitors of its website to the extent required for the website to function correctly (‘strictly necessary cookies’).

  
  

The scope of personal data processed by Luovi is limited to information provided by you and information that Luovi is required to obtain from other sources to comply with applicable laws and regulations or to perform client assignments and its other contractual obligations, as well as information collected by strictly necessary cookies on its website.

Disclosure and transfer of personal data

Luovi does not disclose personal data to any third parties except to extent required to do so for the purposes of complying with applicable laws and regulations or contractual obligations in relation to which such personal data was collected.

Personal data processed by Luovi is stored electronically on cloud-based servers provided by third parties, who may also process such personal data on behalf of Luovi to the extent required for such service providers to perform their services to Luovi. Such service providers have contractually undertaken to ensure that such personal data is protected and processed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Personal data is processed by Luovi only within the EU/EEA.

Retention of personal data

Personal data is retained by Luovi until it is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected or until you have requested that such personal data is erased in accordance with its right to erasure under applicable laws and regulations.

Rights of data subjects

Subject to certain restrictions under applicable laws and regulations, you may exercise any of the following rights in relation to your personal data processed by Luovi:

Right of access: You have the right to access personal data relating to you, including whether personal data about you is being processed, what personal data is being processed, and the purpose of the processing.

Right of rectification: You have the right to have any inaccurate or incomplete personal data relating to you corrected.

Right to erasure: You have the right to have personal data relating to you erased in certain situations, such as if the personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or the processing is unlawful.

Right to data portability: You have the right to receive the personal data relating to you, which you have provided to Luovi, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit such data to another controller, if the processing of such data is carried out by automated means and is based on your consent or for the purposes of Luovi complying with its contractual obligations.

Right to object: You have the right to object to processing of personal data relating to you for certain purposes, such as processing for marketing purposes.

Right to withdraw consent: To the extent the processing of personal data relating to you is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw such consent at any time.
